• Fake Charity Collectors

  T-Centralen (Central Station) and surrounding streets

  Children or adults approach with clipboards claiming to represent a charity. They pressure you to donate cash or hand over your card to "swipe" for a donation. Money goes to organised criminal groups, not any charity.

  How to avoid it: Carry only small cash; never hand your card to a stranger. Verify any charity independently before donating.

• Three Card Monte / Shell Game

  Sergels Torg and busy pedestrian zones

  Illegal street gambling run by a group of accomplices. Tourists are invited to guess which card or cup hides the ball. The game is rigged; you will always lose if money is at stake.

  How to avoid it: Walk away. The games are illegal; both playing and watching can draw you into a scam or crowd that enables pickpocketing by accomplices.
