About Mamanuca Islands
The Mamanuca Islands are a group of small volcanic islands off the west coast of Viti Levu, a short boat ride from Nadi. This is an island group rather than a single place, and its appeal is clear water, white beaches and easy access from the airport.
Things to do in the Mamanucas include snorkelling and diving on the reefs, island-hopping day cruises and surfing at the breaks around Cloudbreak. The Cloud 9 floating bar is a well-known day trip, and many resorts here sit on their own private beach.
The islands suit couples, families and surfers who want a classic tropical stay with little travel time. The drier months, roughly May to October, are the most reliable for sun and calm seas.
